Narrative
According to traditional knowledge it has been cultivated already in the 1920s and1930s in Miehikkälä municipality in south eastern Finland. The name Metsälä is the name of the family that grew the potato. Now the cultivar is either regressing or growing conditions have been bad, because the size of potatoes has remained small. The accession was virus cleaned at IHAR, Bonin, Poland in 2020.
