Accession remark: Denna borstnejlika växter på Yxlan i Stockholms norra skärgård. Varje sommar plockar Ingrid Dylén Täckman av den och sätter den i morfars vas som står på det vita bordet i sommarhuset. Borstnejlikan med sin särpräglade doft var en av morfaders älsklingsblommor, en annan var mandelblom som vårtid stod i vasen. Borstnejlikan från Skarmsund är mycket heterogen med många olika färgkombinationer. Plantor med ljusa blommor tenderar ha ljus- till mellangröna blad och stjälkar, medan plantor med mörkare vinröda och cerise-färgade blommor ofta har starkt antocyanfärgade växtdelar.
