Narrative
Accession remark: LANDRACE; Cultivar description: MEDIUM LATECongo is of unknown origin. Because of its blue flesh it has become common as a curiosity and delicacy. The tuber is oval and relatively smooth with dark blue skin and blue flesh. Practical experience has shown that Congo is susceptible to late blight. The cooking quality is good. No information about resistance and quality is available at present.; Cultivar remarks: From Fagforum Potet (Norway): Blå Kongo er en spesialitet på grunn av sin blålilla farge. Sorten er en gammel sort. Både skall og kjøttfarge er blålilla. Den brukes til konsumpotet (kokt, eller i stappe). Dampes potetene beholder de bedre blåfargen.
