Accession remark: NORWEGIAN VARIETY; Cultivar description: Ringerikspotet is a maincrop variety of unknown origin. Ringerike has been grown for many years as a local variety in Ringerike, Norway. The tubers are short with very deep eyes, and have red skin and yellow flesh. The flower colour is pale red violet. Ringerikspotet is not resistant to wart disease, and highly susceptible to late blight and virus diseases.The table quality is widely appreciated.; Cultivar facts: Ringerikspotet er en gammel landsort, og dyrkes i begrenset omfang på Østlandet. Sorten er kjent som en gourmetsort. Opphav og nasjonalitet er ukjent, og sorten står ikke på norsk sortsliste. Knollene er røde med en tverroval form og mege dype grohull. Kjøttarge sterkt gul. Ringerikspotet fra Ringerike har fått sin egen Beskyttet geografisk betengelse.(REF FAGFORUM POTET, 2012).
