Narrative
Accession remark: Anledning till REJ: Svenska Nationella Programmet ansvarar nu for material och data; Cultivar facts: Mycket gammal sort, som förmodligen härstammar från Tyskland eller Frankrike. Den omtalades av Duhamel från Frankrike 1768 och av flera tyska pomologer i början av 1800-talet. Sorten har gått under olika namn, som framgår av synonymerna. Sorten har även funnits länge i Sverige, där den även haft olika namn. Enligt Dahl (1915) bör den kallas Skånskt sockerpäron. I södra Sverige där den varit vanlig, har den även kallats Augustipäron och ofta även förväxlats med Larsmässpäron. Eneroth kallade sorten Tidigt gult päron. I Norge har den ofta förväxlats med Abdonspäron. (Knut Sakshaug, Pomologia Suecica, 2001)
