Narrative
Cultivar extended description: Bakgrunnen er at det ble utført foredling og linjeutvalg av sorten ’Engelsk Sabel’ som ble tidligere enn orginalsorten. Sorten ’Tidlig Sabel’ kom frem etter at Bremer i 1928 krysset pillertsorten ’Saxa’ med en av de utvalgte linjene, nemlig ‘Engelsk Sabel’ Oppegård. Resultatet viste seg å ha minst 10-14 døgn kortere veksttid enn orginalsorten. Tidlig Sabel ble frøavlet på Dømmesmoen 1936, -37 og -41. Egenskaper: Veksttid 93 vekstdøgn til modent frø. Høg og svært tidlig sort, 10 – 12 dager tidligere enn Engelsk Sabel. Har middels store, tilspissete, flate skolmer. Hvite blomster. Middels avling.(KILDE EVEN BRATBERG); Cultivar subtype: snow pea
