Narrative
Cultivar description I: Pohjola is an early, 35-40 days, old Finnish cultivar for outdoor cultivation. It produces a good harvest even in cool, northern summers. Pohjola has cylindrical, dark green and 12 cm long fruits with white thin thorns. The fruits are crunchy, and have juicy pulp without bitterness. Cultivar description II: This old landrace from Finland can be used for many purposes. Harvested young as a pickling cucumber, later as a salad cucumber and full ripe as a stewed cucumber. It produces numerous of female flowers which gives a high yield of fruits, but makes the cultivar hard to seed propagate.
