Habitat: Grows mostly in open soil and gravel in eroded slopes facing south. Grows in sand and gravel with mostly open soil caused by erosion (wind, snow), altitude 4-500 masl.

Comment: Seeds collected from more than 100 individuals. Collected by the road Axarvegur (road 939) in the slope north of Hænubrekkufoss waterfall. Some partly viviparous plants in the population. Area: Öxi
