Rødraners History and usage Rødraner is originally from Denmark from Bornholm from Bodilsker ved Nexø formed før 1913. Rødraner has been known in Denmark since 1913. The variety is or has been grown rarely or not at all in Denmark. Rødraner is or has been suitable for growing in orchards. The apple is a dessert/culinary apple. Rødraner grows at the Pometum. The tree The yield is medium/low. The quality and season of the apple The season of the apple is late, to enjoy from November/December. Rødraner is mature for harvesting middle early (last part of September). The external of the apple The covercolour covers approx. 75 % of the apple. It forms a a weakly defined flush with strongly defined stripes. The internal of the apple When you cut the apple from eye to stalk, you can see the following characteristics: The tube is conical and the stamens are inserted in the middle of the eye. The green lines around the core end at the base of the tube, but don´t touch each other/end at the middle of the tube.
