Narrative
Cultivar description: Kålrot av typ Bangholm infördes vid sekelskiftet från Danmark men enligt uppgift från Allmänna Svenska Utsädes AB, kan man först från 1912 anse att man genom urval utvecklat en "egen" Bangholm som sedan blev föremål för fortgående urvalsarbete under en lång följd av år. Sorten beskrevs som en rund ganska långsträckt, jämn och fyllig rot med gråröd - gråblå topp. Massavkastningen var högre än av svensk gröntoppig men torrämneshalten något lägre. Den kunde användas både som mat och foder men var särskilt lämpad som foder. Källa: Harald Esbo, SLU.
