Narrative
Cultivar description: Sorten som från början betecknades som "egen förbättrad stam", har med all sannolikhet allt sedan dess varit föremål för ett fortlöpande urval. Sorten angavs vid marknadsföringen som såväl i fråga som avkastning som halt av torrämne oöverträffad. Köttet var gult synnerligen fast och välsmakade, mognaden var så tidig att den rekommenderades för odling upp till Härjedalen och Hälsingland såväl som en matkålrot som för foderändamål. Sorten hade under en lång följd år stor spridning. Cultivar facts: Gul svensk Kålrot is a group of local strains that was cultivated in Sweden in earlier times. Gul svensk as a cultivar has been sold from Sveriges Allmänna Utsädes AB year 1897 and W.Weibull 1911 (reference:Osvald 1959).
