Cultivar description: Hjerter Es er en meget ensartet, meget kraftig frilandssalat. Den er middeltidlig til ret sent udviklet. Skæreperioden er ret kort. Hovederne er særdeles store og ret faste. Den har i forsøgene ikke vist større tendens til tipburn og kun ringe tilbøjelighed til visne bladrande. Den har givet et meget stort udbytte af fin kvalitet. Frøfarven er sortbrun. Ur 49, Beretn. fra Fællesudvalget for Prøvedyrkning av Køkkenurter.
