Narrative
Accession remark: DANISH LANDRACE; Cultivar description: Lange Røde is a medium early local strain or variety with unknown origin. Locally grown on the Danish island Funen and the islands south of Zealand. It is wll suited for growth in in clay soils. The tubers are regular with flat eyes and pale red skin and pale yellow flesh. It is resistant to potato wart disease, common scab, and spraing (PMTV). It is susceptible to virus Y. Lange Røde has a medium dry matter content, and has a relatively firm texture and some blackening when cooked. It has a high glycoalkaloid content. ---- Middeltidlig spisesort.
