Sätter lätt frukt.; Enligt boken Svensk växtförädling II, Trädgårdsväxterna Skogsväxterna, 1951 härstammar West från Svendborg i Danmark.; Cultivar facts: Sorten har funnits i sortiment både hos Ohlsens Enke, Otto J. Olson & son, samt en firma som förkortas GeF.
